Easen began his Indiana University career at UITS in 2001. His extensive experience within UITS included various professional roles he undertook such as the Lead Network Systems Engineer where he was involved in the coordination of network and firewall designs for Indiana University campus network operations, system design, development and quality assurance.

Easen is responsible for and serves as the steward of IT leadership and Strategy for the Office of Enrollment Management, establishing IT strategy, security, coordination of hardware and software lifecycles, and also establishing a common support structure across the Office of the Registrar, Student Services Center, Office of Student Financial Assistance, and the Office of Strategic Planning and Research. In addition, he consolidates and manages inventory and procurement functions within Office of the Registrar and Student Services Center.

Easen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from IUPUI and a MBA from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, with concentrations in Finance and Supply Chain/ Operations Management. He also has a Six Sigma Green belt.
